sketchbook update b/c I haven’t posted in a long while

it was a weird year and i’m glad it’s over. i’m glad i learned to put dates on things (finally). i took a figure drawing class and you can really see it once drawings start to progress towards summer.
january, pendulum was in its very beginning stages and i still had no idea how anatomy actually worked
february i’m sure i drew at least one thing in my sketchbook, but that sketchbook is currently in MA
march was mainly more shitty pendulum concept art in between really detailed anatomical drawings for my class
april is my finished final for figure drawing. someone stole it and yes i’m still pissed about it. didn’t really draw anything for myself.
may i started to go nuts so nothing much was produced
june i was moving around a lot and also going nutters and i think i doodled in my sketchbook two times total… there is some improvement but it’s not noticeable
july i was bored and home and alone all the time so i lit a fire under my ass and produced more complete looking digital drawings than i had for almost a year and improved some within the month
august i wanted to focus on a comic project (eventually scrapped) so not much art was produced besides comic. tried a new coloring style, spent a lot of time on it, scrapped it. so it goes. there was however a lot of improvement in anatomy so there’s a good point.
september i revised the previous comic and made visible improvement in anatomy and composition, but i was all kinds of sick and didn’t actually finish anything
october i was still pretty physically ill but this month was the start of Snack Bar Hangouts with Izzy, meaning i had a fire lit under my ass. i started sketching a lot more and doing more anatomical studies, as well as exploring different coloring methods in PS
november i continued drawing and sketched a shitton. visible improvement. it was hard to produce finished pieces in PS because I couldn’t sit up in a drawing position very long. i will eventually finish the sample picture.
december i sketched more than i have in years, Izzy introduced me to crow quill inking, and my anatomy seriously improved and became passable. also i started on Pendulum!
welp, that has been my 2012. in the last couple months I really buckled down and improved a lot! if you managed to read all this, thanks for reading C:
